What is a Bear Hug?

Article

Throughout the year students are given tickets called Bear Hugs by their teachers, meal duty supervisors, and other staff members. Students earn these tickets by exhibiting positive behaviors at school. Some examples of behaviors warranting a Bear Hug include eating a healthy snack, wearing spirit wear, helping staff or other students, picking up trash, following directions, and exhibiting positive character traits. Mrs. Kissick visits the classrooms and pulls tickets to reward students. Students are rewarded with school supplies, like pencils, bookmarks, erasers and small snacks. Thank you to the Brown PTC for providing the funding for the monthly Bear Hug Drawing.
